My Body Is a Lens I Can Look Through With My Mind is an experimental essay film that begins at the 2024 solar eclipse, and uses planetary movements and geological records as jumping-off points to explore memory, meaning-making and subjectivity. Performances shot over a year in one of Central New York’s decommissioned quarries, at home and through affiliation with the Stone Quarry Hill Art Park comprise this intimate work that considers the distance between perception and object, and how relationships are formulated through self-authored narrative and hyper-personal symbolic language.
