Wherever You’re Going, I’m Going That Way
2018

2-channel HD digital video, found and recorded sound.
Featured at Centrally Isolated Film Festival in Ithaca, New York in April 2020.
This video addresses mourning as a method of reaching through, interfacing with the static manifestation and trying to simulate closeness through action. Based on practices of scrying and ritual burial, the grave becomes a point of contact, envisioned in a dream, made a monument by the mirror, and creating through the screen, again, its own disembodied vision.
Shot by Ellery Bryan and Aidan Spann.
